POWERS AND DUTIES

􀂃 To serve as a member of the Executive Board and the Executive Committee.

􀂃 To preside in the absence of the President, or upon request of the President, when he/she

is present.

􀂃 To prepare for orderly transition through preliminary appointment lists, conference

themes, etc. To this end, the President-elect, at association expense, may travel to the

ALA annual conference to attend the orientation for new chapter leaders.

􀂃 To arrange for conference dates and sites for a minimum of one year beyond dates and

sites already established.

􀂃 To plan and conduct the Association’s annual Planning Forum.

􀂃 To prepare a report of the year’s activities to be included in the Association’s annual

report.

􀂃 To participate in conference planning where possible.
